Eye Wander

"You'll remember it for the rest of your life". That was what the travel agent in Cape Town said to me before I arranged to drive a rental car into the heart of the Namib Desert. Little did I know, the sublime landscapes I saw during my trip to Sossusvlei would cement my bond with this little-known country. I've been there twice more since that quick trip in 1996, and would still return in a heartbeat.
